Giving up my life for Jesus

It has been a process, a fight, a struggle, and many of days that tears wore my shirt.

I knew giving up my life would be a difficult road.

You try to hang on, with as much control as you can bear.

You push, shove, and hide from what the real truth is.

You battle, go through pain, and fight with all your might and strength...until you cannot control any longer.

We, children of God, are not meant to keep our lives.

We, as brothers and sister in Christ, are meant to recognise that Jesus already went through all that we are so heavily trying to save.

We cannot save ourselves. Nor can we win every battle.

But we can let our lives go, and find our lives in Jesus Christ.

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.“

“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.”

“Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:24-28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
